National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees
NARVRE or the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees recently had the second class with their current marketing firm on June 22, 2021.
National Association of Retired and Veteran Railroad Employees Convention
NARVRE, or the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees, are eagerly anticipating hosting its National Association of Retired and Veteran Railroad Employees Conventions. Our previous NARVRE convention scheduled for 2020 unfortunately had to be canceled due to the coronavirus and subsequent pandemic. The rescheduled convention will be in May of 2022 and will still take place in Oakland, California.
NARVRE Fights for Railroad Retirement Medicare Benefits
The National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees (NARVRE) was organized in 1937. NARVRE’s primary purpose according to their original by- laws is, “for the study of the legislative principles and processes of the Railroad Retirement Act of 1937″, cooperating with retired and active railroad employees on actions affecting these principles.

Stimulus Relief Aid is desperately needed for Amtrak and rail employees. The Senate took another vacation and has chosen to ignore House passed legislation. A stimulus package is needed now to help American citizens and businesses, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
NARVRE Membership:
Consider this an update on our continual work opposing proposals for heavier trucks in the U.S. Congress. NARVRE has an ongoing working relationship with the rail carriers (AAR) and rail labor, of course, as the rail industry stands to lose business if more cargo could be moved on bigger trucks and intermodal truck-rail freight shipping, causing more employee furloughs affecting railroad retirement.
